Commemoration of the 26 Martyrs of Japan

February 5th, 1597, is the day when 26 people risked their lives to teach us that there is hope beyond death. On this day, February 5th, a commemorative gathering will be held at Nishizaka Park. Not only Christians, but the general public is also welcome to participate. Please dress warmly. If you would like a seat, please apply using the application form above. Admission is free. You can also watch the gathering online on the day.

Graduated from the Department of Theology, Faculty of , Aoyama Gakuin University
After serving at Fukagawa Church and San Francisco Church,
he assumed the post of Zama Christian Church in 1970.
In 1992, he moved to Yamato City and completed a large chapel with a capacity of 1,000 members.
He is currently the Senior Pastor of Yamato Calvary Chapel, having served for 50 years.
He is also the President of Calvary Bible College and Chairman of the ICA Board of Directors.
He has received honorary doctorates in theology from three theological graduate schools.
He is a main speaker on CGNTV and was awarded the Martin Luther King Memorial in 2004.

They were the first Christian martyrs in Japan, who were martyred in Nagasaki on February 5, 1597 (December 19, Keichō 1), by order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
